Good news for Apple! The Cupertino giant has regained its leading position in terms of customer satisfaction in consumer electronics, according to the latest study by a renowned American institute. A consecration that rewards the constant efforts of the apple brand to offer innovative products and a first-rate user experience.
Apple dominates computers with MacBooks and iPads
In the computer segment, which includes desktop PCs, laptops and tablets, Apple takes back the top spot alone with an excellent score of 85/100, up 2 points from 2023.
The Californian giant can thank its popular MacBook and iPad ranges which are driving up customer satisfaction. Samsung, tied with Apple last year, loses one point and finds itself 3rd, also overtaken by HP which gains 3 points to 84.
Overall, the computer category reached a record satisfaction level of 81/100 on average this year, driven by tablets where Apple’s iPad excels. Conversely, traditional desktop PCs are slightly down.
Apple still needs to improve its customer service
While Apple is known for its cutting-edge products incorporating the latest innovations, the brand with the apple logo must ensure that it also maintains high-quality customer service. This is a challenge to stand out sustainably in the face of fierce competition.
According to the research director of the institute who conducted the survey, manufacturers that can bridge the gap between high-tech products and constant customer support will be the big winners. Apple therefore still has room for improvement in this area.
Conducted between July 2023 and June 2024 among more than 13,000 American consumers, this study confirms that Apple remains the benchmark in terms of customer satisfaction, while highlighting the progress that needs to be made in terms of service to support its innovative products. Enough to motivate Tim Cook’s teams to stay the course and stay one step ahead!
