Apple TV+ now has several successful series, among which Slow Horses holds a privileged place. While the spy thriller recently wrapped up its fourth season, fans already have something to sink their teeth into with the first trailer for season 5. However, it’s not easy to find.
A successful series
While Slow Horses is considered one of the best series on the platform, Apple has taken an unconventional approach to promoting the upcoming season. The Season 5 trailer is not available on YouTube, or even as a standalone video in the Apple TV app. Instead, viewers can see the trailer at the end of season 4. After finishing the final episode, and after the credits roll, you’ll get a glimpse of the twists and turns of season 5, which is scheduled for release in 2025. Unless you read the article to the end.
Apple’s official description for season 5 hints at an interesting plot: “In the fifth season of Slow Horses, suspicions arise when tech expert Roddy Ho suddenly has a very attractive new girlfriend. But when bizarre events start happening in the city, the Slow Horses must unravel the mystery. And as always, Jackson Lamb, masterfully played by Gary Oldman, knows that in the world of espionage, the “rules of London” are the only ones that count.
The future of the series looks bright. Each season is based on a novel from the series Slough House by Mick Herron, and season 5 will follow the fifth book, London Rules. With eight novels in the series, as well as novellas that could inspire spin-offs, fans can expect record longevity.
For the record, Slow Horses, adapted by Will Smith (Veep), was first broadcast on Apple TV Plus in April 2022, and the streaming platform ordered a third and fourth season in June 2022, before the launch of season 2. She got a near perfect score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
