Gurman reveals to us the existence of an internal Apple application that helps people (employees here) with prediabetes. A subject that is close to the brand’s heart and which it ultimately intends to add to its health functions for the general public.
Why not one day in all of our iPhones?
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurmanwhich teaches us a lot of things every year, has just revealed the existence of a diabetes prevention application designed by Apple. An app dedicated to health and completely unavailable to the general public.
As he indicates, it is reserved for certain voluntary employees of the company, who have prediabetes (blood sugar), in other words a blood sugar level higher than average. A sort of large-scale internal test which aims to work on future features around this subject before officially launching.
Its objective is to help participants select appropriate foods and advise them on the changes to make in their daily life and their lifestyle. Apple’s final idea is to help millions of people and prevent them from developing type 2 diabetes, which is much more serious. The famous blood sugar sensor of the Apple Watch which continues to cross rumors year after year but which should not see the light of day for at least 3 to 7 years.
While waiting to achieve this technological feat, the bitten apple could use the system of this secret application to incorporate it into the Health application of the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. That would be a great start. A simple hypothesis, nothing concrete.
