Apple TV+ revealed the first images from his upcoming comedy series, “The Studio,” in which Seth Rogen not only plays the lead role, but also takes on the roles of writer, director and executive producer, working with Evan Goldberg. The series is set to premiere globally on the platform starting March 26, 2025, with the first two and subsequent episodes airing weekly until May 21, 2025.
A new series coming from Apple
In this series, Rogen plays Matt Remick, who has just taken over as head of the struggling Continental Studios. The series delves into the challenges of keeping film relevant, where Matt and his team navigate internal conflicts and external pressures from artists and corporate figures in their quest to produce exceptional films. Their constant state of anxiety is cleverly hidden behind their professional attire, where every event, from parties to marketing meetings, can lead to either spectacular success or professional downfall. Matt’s lifelong passion for cinema is put to the test.
Rogen is joined in this comedic adventure by a quality cast, including Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders, with Bryan Cranston as guest star.
Produced by Lionsgate Television, “The Studio” is the brainchild of Emmy Award winners Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, Rogen, Goldberg and Frida Perez. Also executive producing are James Weaver, Alex McAtee and Josh Fagen of Point Gray Pictures.
This series continues Apple TV+’s partnership with Rogen, following the success of “Platonic”, where he also stars and produces with Rose Byrne.
See you on March 26, 2025. In the meantime, here is the trailer:
