Apple TV+ has just unveiled today in a press releasethe trailer for “Disclaimer,” a new seven-part series, directed by acclaimed director and screenwriter Alfonso Cuarón. This psychological thriller, based on the eponymous novel by Renée Knight, will be available starting Friday, October 11, 2024, with the first two episodes airing, followed by a new episode every Friday.
In “Disclaimer,” Cate Blanchett stars as Catherine Ravenscroft, a respected journalist whose life is turned upside down when she receives a novel that reveals her darkest secrets, threatening the safety of her family. Joined by her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Catherine races against time to discover the identity of the book’s author while confronting a past she wishes she could forget forever.

Alongside Cate Blanchett (seen in the movies Blue Jasmine, Carol) and Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, The Trial of the Chicago 7)the series brings together an exceptional cast, with Kevin Kline (Beauty and the Beast)Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread, The Crown)Louis Partridge (Enola Holmes, Medici)Leila George (Mortal Engines, Animal Kingdom)Hoyeon (Squid Game) and Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) who provides the narration.

The series is co-produced by a prestigious group of executive producers, including Alfonso Cuarón, Gabriela Rodriguez, Cate Blanchett and David Levine.
