The POCO M7 Pro has just arrived in our market with a very interesting price and features, as the POCO series has accustomed us to. It’s a device aimed at delivering power and a screen far above what’s usual in its range, but what about the rest?

Xiaomi is starting to spoil us mid-range fans: its latest devices between €200 and €300 continue to surprise with impressive features, putting the competition on the ropes time and again. Although the POCO M7 Pro is just now landing on the global market, we know very well everything regarding this launch thanks to the fact that all its details were announced a few months ago.

We can clearly see that POCO continues its path of offering powerful handsets, with large screens, and at a price that, this time, is even more aggressive than usual.

Starting with the display, we have a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, 120 Hz, and a spectacular brightness of 2,100 nits, which also includes a fingerprint reader. This is revolutionary in itself for a €200 device, and we can safely say that this is one of the best displays in the mid-range, if not the best, surpassing devices priced several times higher.

But that’s not all, because this time POCO innovates and in the M7 Pro has surprised us with something that nobody expected: its cameras. The main Sony IMX882 sensor may not attract attention for its 50 MP, but in reality it is an impressive camera that until now only much higher-end smartphones incorporated. Its performance is very striking especially at night, in an area in which POCO had stood out less to date. Special mention also for its 20 MP front camera, another very pleasant surprise that is probably the best selfie camera in the range.

As for the processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra can handle any normal usage without the slightest problem and even handles the most demanding games, although it should be noted that a phone in this range won’t be able to handle the most demanding titles at Ultra speeds, of course. Still, as a budget gaming phone, it’s still very competent.

We can’t finish without mentioning its autonomy, and despite the smartphone’s slim design, it has a 5110 mAh battery, which also has 45W fast charging. This means it can last a day of use without problems in the vast majority of cases and can even last up to two days for many users.

Our opinion

If you’re looking for a cheap and competent phone, the POCO M7 Pro makes it very easy for you to get a device for less than €250 that lacks absolutely nothing. Everything about its experience tastes of the latest generation, from its camera to its autonomy and power, without ceasing to enjoy that 2100-nit brightness AMOLED display, which is hard to find on a device of this price.

Obviously, don’t expect the photos and performance of a flagship that costs over a thousand euros, but you can count on a phone that can handle anything and offers a price-performance ratio that dwarfs many competing phones, even in higher-end ranges.
