When it comes to buying new headphones, we have the option of going for the AirPods models, especially if our products are from Apple, since they sync perfectly with the Apple ecosystem, and allow us to enjoy the sound from all devices.
However, we have several options, including the AirPods 4, which are possibly the best in terms of quality and price, and with very interesting new features compared to previous versions. However, there is a problem that no one explains.
Which AirPods to choose, and why the 4s aren’t the best
It’s true that Apple doesn’t leave us with many options, as once they release a new version, like the AirPods 4, they remove the rest from their website. This is logical, since for the same price, we can get better ones, preventing people from accidentally buying older ones. However, they leave us with little choice, as we’ll only have the current Pro and regular versions.
In any case, after the presentation of the AirPods 4, we saw 2 different models within the same version, the normal one, and the one with noise cancellation, at quite different prices, since we would go from 149 euros to 199 euros, that is, 50 50-euro price difference at that point.
This is something that people like me don’t value, and we believe that, in terms of cost, the standard version is better, or that’s what I thought until I got it, because the differences are greater than I thought.
Differences between the normal and noise-cancelling versions:
- First of all, of course, noise cancellation, which, while not worth 50 euros, as I mentioned earlier, will depend on the needs of each user, but it doesn’t stop there.
- The case will not be MagSafe, that is, it only has wireless charging in the second option, paying that difference, and something that, at first, they do not indicate, unless you read everything point by point.
- Finally, the Find My option, one of the ones that made me change version 2 for 4, but which, however, just like wireless charging, is only available in the AirPods case with noise cancellation, the ones that have the chip to find them, and a box with a speaker to beep if you can’t find them.
In short, the case is very different in both models, and those 50 euros no longer cover just one function, but 3. That is why I had to return them, and buy this other one, since, as I explained, one of the things I liked was being able to locate them, because I lost the previous ones many times, and without that, or the wireless charging, it seemed that I had not changed models, so you have to be very aware of this, since it has more differences than what Apple sells us at first.
