Apple has made parts and tools for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max available through its self-service repair store in France, the United States and several European countries. This offer is launched less than two months after the release of these devices. People who know about it therefore have the opportunity to repair the brand’s latest phones themselves.
The latest iPhone 16s accessible via self-service repair
Customers can now get parts to repair or replace critical components of the latest iPhone 16, such as display, battery, rear camera system, TrueDepth camera for Face ID, rear glass, speakers and the main microphone, among others. Toolkits can be rented for seven days for all four iPhone 16 models, with a rental rate set at €55.20 in France on the official repair site.
In September, Apple released the repair manuals for the iPhone 16 rangeand the corresponding parts and tools are now available to the public. Announced in 2021 and launching in 2022, Apple’s self-service repair program provides customers with authentic parts, tools and guides to repair select iPhones, Macs and Studio Display.
Apple, as always, reminds us of the limitations of this service, which is aimed at people experienced in repairing electronic devices. Users who do not have experience in this area are advised to go through the normal process of visiting an Apple Store or contacting Apple customer service.
