Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.
Goliath (France 2, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the synopsis proposed by Studio Canal:
Patrick is a tenacious lawyer specializing in environmental law. France is a schoolteacher who becomes an activist after her husband develops cancer following exposure to a pesticide. Mathias is an ambitious lobbyist who works for an international chemical company. These characters’ paths cross as the lives of thousands are affected by a tragic act that sparks a powerful movement, while the company fights to prevent the truth from being revealed.
This film, which has a very solid cast, tackles contemporary themes brilliantly. We highly recommend it.
When the eagles attack (Arte, 9:10 p.m.)
The story of this feature film takes us back to 1944. In the middle of the Second World War, Allied soldiers were parachuted into Germany near the Gestapo headquarters. Their mission: to free an American general. Unfortunately, nothing is going to go as planned and a traitor has even slipped into the group.
We let you discover the sequel to this classic of the seventh art which stars Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton.
Terminator Renaissance (6ter, 9:10 p.m.)
It’s 2018, just after humanity’s defeat by robots. John Connor leads the resistance and decides to join forces with a stranger. They do not want to give in to the machines that are preparing their final assault to wipe out the human species.
This umpteenth version of the Terminator saga somewhat divided critics and the general public upon its release. The best thing is probably to watch it to form your own opinion.
That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular Ticket to Paradise (TF1, 9:10 p.m.), Pompeii (W9, 9:10 p.m.), and Visitors: the Revolution (TFX, 9:05 p.m.).
