Definitely. After making the mistake of publishing the technical sheet of the Mac mini M4 yesterday, Apple left the image of the still unrevealed M4 Max chip lying around. The one that should take place in tomorrow’s 2024 MacBook Pros is already displayed on Apple’s servers.
One more leak from Apple
The developer Charlie Joseph today discovered that Apple accidentally leaked its upcoming high-end M4 Max processor through an image uploaded to its website. If the image does not tell us about the qualities of the chip, it confirms what we can expect tomorrow.
Here is the image in question, but reworked and enlarged by us:
Obviously, Tim Cook’s gang is preparing to present new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips, after promising several Mac-related announcements yesterday and today. Once again, we will be entitled to a press release and a video immediately.
No major exterior design changes have been announced for the laptops this year, with improvements such as an OLED display and slimmer design not expected to arrive for another two years, at best. However, the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to gain an additional Thunderbolt port over the current model, as well as a space black color. Otherwise, the entire range will finally receive 16 GB of RAM as standard, instead of the much criticized 8 GB. The iMac M4 and the Mac mini M4 were also entitled to it.
The last significant change to the MacBook Pro was in 2021, with the introduction of the M1 Pro and Max chips, a 120Hz miniLED display, a thicker design and a notch at the top of the screen. Since then, it’s just been small iterations.
