If you are a fan of Apple, and you like its entire ecosystem, to the point that you only buy original accessories, you will have realized that the apple keyboard has no light on its keys, so using it at night, or in low light, is complicated.
And the thing is, we could understand it about an economical product, but when we talk about a model that costs between 17 and 200 euros, things change, because for that price, what less than having installed a light, right? Why don’t Magic Keyboards have a light?

- Design and portability: Adding light to its keys could increase the thickness and weight of the keyboard, affecting its thin and light design, something that Apple always bets on.
- Production cost: Including this function would increase manufacturing costs, which could be reflected in a higher sales price (something that we do not see as logical, but that we have to comment on).
Maybe, overall, they are good excuses, although, honestly, there are very similar keyboards for half the price that do have backlighting, so it seems to us to be an Apple strategy simply to sell with higher margins and avoid more production costs and design.

It is true that, in terms of autonomy, final design, or quality of materials, Apple’s will be superior, but, unless we have extra money and we do not want the light in them, it is not worth it, and I always purchase the products. official, but, in this case, they do not give us the option of even paying more for another model, and we only have the one that the company wants us to buy, and that will not always adapt to our needs.
