The latest wave of age verification with AI (artificial intelligence) YouTube is generating a serious problem: adult users are being marked as minors and suffering access restrictions to videos and features. The deployment, currently active in the United States, the United Kingdom and some countries in the EU (European Union)has caused complaints on networks and forums about false positives that force those affected to prove their age again.
YouTube defends that the system seeks to protect minors and comply with child safety regulations.
