Gmail for Android is widely deploying an option that all users would describe as basic in online messaging.
Gmail for Android finally gives the possibility of selecting all the emails on the same page to carry out a grouped action on them. As surprising as it may seem, this option did not exist.
A feature we've been waiting for since day one
From the translation of emails on Android and iOS to a change in its icon, Google does not fail to make regular improvements to its application which now has more than 1.8 billion users around the world. But the tech giant sometimes misses obvious features, like the bulk email selection tool on Android. An oversight that is now history, 15 years after the launch of the Gmail application on Android.
The functionality, spotted on the web since September 2023, was not effective until then. It was not related to the application version, but was based on a server-side change, probably at the Gmail account level. Several users indicated on Reddit that they had received the update, proof that the deployment is becoming widespread.
