Like every year, Huawei unveils a whole series of high-end Mate smartphones, and in 2023, 4 models should hit the market. The Porsche Design Edition is also expected to return.
A few days ago, Huawei unveiled its new high-end smartphone, the Mate 60 Pro, by surprise. However, while the Chinese manufacturer was expected to launch a whole series consisting of different smartphones, the device finally arrived on its own. Fortunately, according to information from various leakers, it will soon be joined by three other models.
Indeed, according to Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, Huawei is preparing to launch three new models within the next few weeks. These will be the Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro+ and a Mate 60 RS Porsche Design. Huawei has been collaborating with Porsche for several years now for this series of smartphones, and it seems that unlike the one with Leica, the partnership with the automaker will continue even this year.
What to expect from the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ and RS Porsche Design?
If Huawei keeps the same strategy as in previous years, the next Huawei Mate 6à Pro+ and Mate 60 RS Porsche Design should be nearly identical except for their design. The latter will take up the codes of the cars of the German car manufacturer on the back, and will see its price soar. We also expect a lot more RAM and storage on this model.
For its part, the Mate 60 Pro + should stand out from the classic Pro model in terms of photography. Huawei is accustomed to reserving best photo sensors for the Pro+ modeland it should be the same this year.
In particular, the Mate 60 Pro+ is expected to have larger sensors or additional cameras. It is for example possible that it uses a periscope offering a 10X optical zoom, when the Huawei Mate 60 Pro must be satisfied with a 3.5X optical zoom.
It now remains to be seen when these new models will be unveiled, and whether or not to expect them to arrive in France. For the moment, Huawei was content to launch its Pro models in France, reserving the others for China.
