Let’s help you explore the television platform to the fullest from Paramount and so you can hit the nail on the head and find your new favorite audiovisual content.
Through the main search engine
Until less than a year ago, Pluto TV did not have a built-in search engine, so everything had to be explored manually to find what you were looking for. This changed in October 2021, when the platform finally included a search engine. On web or desktop, you have it in the upper right, while on mobile it is in the lower right.
This search engine is indexed with all the content of each program, movie or series that is broadcast, so you not only need to search for a specific title name, but you can also try your luck with other concepts such as the actors or actresses that appear .
Search Pluto TV using categories
Pluto TV assigns different categories to its content, both those that are broadcast live on its channels and those that are stored to watch on demand. In this way, the search by categories can help you find content that you did not know was broadcast within a specific theme.
This is a great way to find out what certain channels or content are about that the description in the program guide is not very helpful in identifying. In the case of Pluto TV in Spain you can find tags such as Made in Spain, Crime and Mystery, Entertainment, News, MTV on Pluto TV, etc.
On the web or desktop version you will find the dropdown menu at the bottom left, so it may have slipped past you between the video playback box and the programming guide. On mobile, there will be a dropdown button in the middle of the screen below the video that will expand the categories.
Although Pluto TV’s interface is somewhat clunky and “forces” you to scroll below the video playback box to view programming, there is also a shortcut in the bottom right. Here you can see the program guide and channel list.
On the web it is a white button that says “TV Guide”, In this way, you will have an overview of what is being broadcast at all times and the new channels that may have gone unnoticed by you.
Watchlist on Pluto TV
Using the watchlist feature is how you can find shows or movies that interest you without having to browse the entire platform. Every time you’re watching Pluto TV and see a show or movie you like, add it to your watchlist, an option available on mobile.
This will create a library of shows you’ve already shown an interest in and bring them together in one place. When you’re looking for something to watch later, you can return to your library of archived content. Use this feature constantly and you won’t need to resort to the traditional search bar because all your favorite content will be at your fingertips.
