Nothing to meet the replacement for the iPhone mini!
Poor sales of the iPhone mini, which Apple introduced in 2020, made it clear the way is big screens. Thus, and to offer a more affordable device but with the right dimensionsthe company introduced the iPhone 14Plus that we met last September 7 at the “Far Out” event. According to the list of shipments, this model has been the last to be sent and will begin to reach all users from this Friday, October 7.
As a prelude to the important date, we have decided to recall some of the most striking features of the iPhone 14 Plus; the new model of the iPhone family and maybe your next smartphone.
This is the replacement for the iPhone mini
The iPhone 14 Plus debuted as the first entry iPhone with a larger 6.7-inch screen. Its design is identical to that of the iPhone 14 but with a larger size. We have a shiny glass on the back and anodized aluminum on the frames, which means that the weight is reduced compared to the Pro Max versions.
One of the main aspects of opting for an iPhone Max is its incredible battery life, one of the best on the market. And this iPhone 14 Plus will offer you almost unparalleled autonomy. According to Apple data It is the iPhone with the longest battery life they have created:
- Video playback: up to 26 hours.
- Video streaming: up to 20 hours.
- Audio playback: up to 100 hours.
Same cameras as the iPhone 14
This large version of the iPhone 14 maintains the same cameras as the normal 6.1-inch model, betting on a double camera with two sensors positioned diagonally in the rear module. We have a wide angle sensor and an ultra wide angle sensor with the following official specifications:
- Main sensor: 12 Mpx: 26 mm, ƒ/1.5 aperture, sensor-shift optical image stabilization, seven element lens and 100% Focus Pixels.
- Ultra wide angle sensor: 12 Mpx: 13 mm, ƒ/2.4 aperture, 120° field of view, five-element lens.
- New front camera: 12 MP, brighter and with autofocus.
A15 Bionic processor
Apple has decided to repeat the processor for the second consecutive year and the iPhone 14s are equipped with the A15 Bionic chip that we already saw in the iPhone 13s, although it is expected to be the most powerful version of the iPhone 13 Pros. It is the first time in the recent history of the iPhone this happens.
Like all of its serial mates, the iPhone 14 Plus is protected by Ceramic Shield on the front glass, offering enhanced protection against drops and scratches. All iPhone 14 models are also IP68-rated, which can withstand a depth of 6 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes.
