Amazon unveils a new connected speaker: the Echo Pop. This one is distinguished by a more compact and cute format, in a half-sphere, which also translates into a softer price.
Despite the crisis it is going through, Amazon has presented new devices for its Echo range. Among them is a connected speaker called Amazon Echo Pop. In itself, no revolutionary novelties for this product, but a new, more compact and cute format designed to fit discreetly into any room of the house.
The manufacturer shared a press release where the shape of the Amazon Echo Pop is presented as a “cute half sphere» taking advantage of new colours: lavender and duck green.
On the audio side, we are promised a sound that remains rich despite the reduced format. Amazon highlights in particulara custom-designed front directional speaker“. The American giant also suggests using its Echo Pop in bedrooms or “any other small room in the house“.
The voice assistant that drives the speaker obviously remains Amazon Alexa and you can interact with it as you usually do with other devices in the range. You can therefore ask to read audio books, play music, control connected objects in the house, etc. Finally, it will be recalled that Amazon has taken a big step forward in the adoption of Matter and Thread and this speaker should not be an exception to this great initiative.
An attractive price
The Amazon Echo Pop is announced in France at the recommended price of 54.99 euros. It is already available on the Amazon France website. This is a rather competitive rate. In comparison, the Amazon Echo Show 5 unveiled at the same time is displayed at more than 100 euros.
To return to the Echo Pop, also know that there are covers dedicated to the speaker with more choice of colors (blue, orange, red, gray, lilac, purple and phosphorescent). They are sold at 32.99 euros.
