The design of the next Sony Xperia 1 should change little
The website Green Smartphones who worked with OnLeaks, indicates that the Sony Xperia 1 V would largely take over the design of the Xperia 1 IV. We would therefore find the famous long photo block containing three sensors. The outlet goes on to write that the smartphone retains “ its recessed headphone jack, shutter button, and power button with an integrated fingerprint reader “. Note that the jack is extremely rare in this price range, which makes it a smartphone of choice for music lovers with headphones.
However, the size would be slightly reduced, with a screen with a diagonal of 6.5 inches, the same size as the previous model, therefore logically reducing the thickness of the borders. Its dimensions would be approximately 161.0 x 69.3 x 8.5 mm. The shapes would be rather square and the finish of the back matte.
A photo block still present
Contrary to a rumor from the beginning of the year, this Sony smartphone should not embed LG technology for its photo sensors, especially for telephoto lenses. It allows for a larger focal range while eliminating the need for a protrusion on the photo block.
If we are to believe the rendering unveiled, the photo block would still be present. It would integrate three photo sensors:
- A main sensor of 12 Mpx.
- A 48 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.
- A 12MP telephoto lens.

A little over a month ago, the Sony Xperia 1 V was rumored to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s latest chip reserved for high-end smartphones, found on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or the OnePlus 11. The smartphone would have 16 GB of RAM as well as a 5000 mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia 1 V is rumored to be launched earlier in the year compared to previous models as it will be released as early as April, for worldwide availability in June.
