While all eyes are on September 12, the day of the back-to-school keynote for Apple, it seems that the manufacturer will not organize a second event by the end of the year.

It happens that Apple’s pipeline is so full of new products that the manufacturer decides to organize a second keynote at the end of the year, after the traditional September event intended for the new iPhones. According to Mark Gurman, however, it seems that this will not be the case in 2023.

The iPad Air M2 in the pipeline

The leaker, who answered questions from the podcast MacRumors, says he is in any case skeptical about the possibility of a second keynote. Apple certainly has other new products in addition to the iPhone 15 and the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2, but nothing that would justify the implementation of a new presentation in due form, with what that implies in terms of organization.

Apple could instead take the simpler route of a barrage of press releases, as was the case for the MacBook Pro M2 Pro/M2 Max a few months ago. Among the products that could be announced in this way, Gurman leans towards a new iPad Air; the 5th generation, with its M1 chip, was launched in March 2022. It is very likely that the new version will integrate an M2. As for the iPad Pro with their M3 chip and an OLED screen, you will have to wait until next year.

Does this mean that Apple ultimately has no intention of launching its new M3 chip in the coming months? Ming-Chi Kuo, other insider very well informed, announced this week that the new MacBook Air/Pro M3 will not be released this year…
