That Xiaomi already has its own ready OS, called HyperOS, is not something new. Nor is it that it is still based on Android, but with some differences that improve MIUI. Be that as it may, the Chinese manufacturer has decided to replace its popular customization layer on all mobile phones.
At the beginning of the month, we knew which would be the first phones to receive the long-awaited HyperOS update. In this still short list, there was presence a POCO terminal which finally was the one who opened the season. It's now official, HyperOS leaves China and we tell you which is the first mobile to receive it.
Neither Xiaomi nor Redmi, POCO debuts HyperOS worldwide
Actually, we have already seen Xiaomi's new operating system in operation. It debuted in its native country, China, along with the launch of the Xiaomi 14. However, the Chinese manufacturer's policy remains the same in one sense: each region has its firmwareand the Chinese is the first to receive the latest news.

Hence it was not yet available in a terminal sold outside the Asian country, but we had signs that it would happen sooner rather than later. That's how it has been, and today, the POCO Global official account has announced the deployment of HyperOS. It arrives for the first time at the POCO F5, a mid-range of the subbrand that, according to the Xataka analysisrecovers the essence of the original mobile.
Now, the terminal that already worked like a charm thanks to its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, will continue to do so with new features such as the new Control Center, or the native applications that are also updated. According to the publication made in Twitter X, the users of this POCO F5 will be the first to enjoy the experiencealthough yes, at the moment it seems to be a somewhat limited deployment.
As POCO itself confirms in its global account, “eligible users” will receive the update via OTA, giving us the clue that it is not mass produced. Taking into account other update processes, we realize that it is something common for the manufacturer, which Try new versions first with a smaller group. However, the rest will not have to wait too long, since the builds that were found already responded to the “stable” category.
Likewise, they also reveal that the upgrade plan for other models It will be revealed later, without giving us a specific date. The rest of the POCO portfolio is pending, including the older brother of the aforementioned POCO F5.
Therefore, if you have this powerful mid-range, you can now check if you have updates available. The jump from MIUI 14 to HyperOS promises to be quite significant, and there is also some curiosity to see if the sub-brand adapts it in a different way to the rest of the brands, as has been the case with MIUI for years.
