As of January 16, the ‘provisional’ option with which you could continue DAZN content through the Movistar Plus+ app. This possibility arose as a help to relieve a bit of the saturation that had occurred in the servers of the streaming sports content application with the start of the first day of LaLiga in 2022.
However, this possibility came to an end in January 2023. Although, it has caused the odd problem. Since not all users have successfully completed the migration between Movistar and DAZN. Therefore, we are going to take a look at the problems that have been occurring and if there is a solution for these failures. Although, it can also be followed through the Movistar Plus+ deco.
Problems with migration to DAZN
More than one user has reported in the official Movistar forum that they have had problems to migrate your Movistar account to DAZN. For this reason, we are going to see first what are the inconveniences that can give us problems when completing the migration:
- It is not possible to have two subscriptions (DAZN and DAZN in Movistar) through the same email.
- Before carrying out the migration through the app on your TV or mobile, check that you do not have a DAZN account linked to the device with which you are going to complete the migration that has another plan. The ideal is to register in DAZN from scratch with another email. There are users who have lost access to your old Essentials annual plan for migrating the Movistar account to DAZN by having the app linked to the account that was activated on the device.
- If you want to recover the subscription you had with DAZN, you will have to first cancel the Movistar subscription and then reactivate it with a different email account. When the email you want is released, you will have to contact DAZN to recover the subscription.
Activate your Movistar account
If you are a Movistar Plus+ customer, you will have several ways to activate your DAZN account in Movistar and with these credentials log in to your own app. The first method is from the DAZN app on the operator’s UHD decoder. In that case, you would only have to enter the email you want to use to create the DAZN account and directly access the service. Later, you will receive an email in the account that will give you the possibility to change the password and thus, you will be able to enter the sports platform app.
Another alternative you have is go to DAZN linear channels 1-4 (or settings section of the deco configuration menu) and scan the QR that will appear or enter the corresponding website, where you will have to put your passwords for the Mi Movistar app. Once identified, touch enter the email and password you want to use for DAZN.
