When looking for a fiber optic rate with 1 Gbps speed, we also find a good number of operators that already offer it in their catalogue. At first, it was rarer, but over time we found more expensive options, while low cost rates have also opened up.

For this reason, we are going to see from the prices that the operators have for 1 Gbps of fiber optics. And, besides this, let’s know other important details such as the permanence, if it includes a fixed line, the penalty if you leave early, among other aspects.

1 Gbps fiber in the operators

When we are going to look for a fiber optic rate, speed can be a key element. The good thing is that all the ones we are going to see below have the same speed. However, there are other characteristics that are important when contracting a rate with one operator or another:

rate price

As we said, one of the first points that we must take into account is the price that we are going to pay for the 1 Gbps rate. Therefore, it is important know if the price will be final or notin addition to other services included, such as the fixed line:

  • Digi: SMART fiber for 20 euros per month and fiber for the entire national territory for 30 euros per month. Does not include landline.
  • Simyo: has a price of 29.99 euros per month and does not include fixed line.
  • Adamo: comes out for 21 euros per month for 6 months. Afterwards, it is priced at 42 euros. However, it has an upload of up to 600 Mbps, download if it is up to 1,000 Mbps.
  • jazztel: costs €30.95 If we want the landline without minutes and with unlimited calls, it costs three more euros per month.
  • Yoigo: it has a price of 32 euros per month for 3 months, then it will cost 47 euros per month. It comes with unlimited calls to other landlines and 60 minutes for mobiles.
  • Movistar: in this operator costs 43.90 euros per month + unlimited calls to landlines and 50 minutes for mobiles.
  • Orange: it has a price of 40.95 euros per month and unlimited calls to landlines + 1,000 minutes for mobiles.
  • vodafone: per month you pay 44.30 euros per month and comes with a landline with unlimited calls to other landlines and mobiles.

Permanence

In addition to the price and the extra service that you can have, there is no doubt that the commitment to permanence with an operator is another aspect that we cannot ignore. In some cases, we can find permanences that go from one year, to operators that do not put permanence:

  • Digi: puts 3 months of permanence.
  • Simyo: It has 3 months of permanence.
  • Adamo: 12 months of permanence.
  • jazztel: puts 12 months of permanence.
  • Yoigo: 12 months.
  • Movistar: without permanence.
  • Orange: puts 12 months of permanence.
  • vodafone: one year stay.

Penalty

By not fulfilling the permanence with an operator, we play a penalty. This is because they “give us” the installation of the fiber and give us the router. Therefore, when we left before the time they had set, we will have to pay the fiber installation fee.

  • Digi: if we do not comply, we will have to pay the proportional part of 120 euros, depending on the time we have with them.
  • Simyo: if you can’t last a quarter with them, you will have to pay the proportional part of up to 120 euros.
  • Adamo: you will have to pay the proportional part of 163.35 euros, VAT included.
  • jazztel: by not fulfilling the permanence, we can the price is up to 314.6 euros, VAT included. However, depending on how long we have been, the cost will be less.
  • Yoigo: If you do not meet the set time, you will have to pay up to 190 euros plus taxes.
  • Movistar: having no permanence, there is no penalty.
  • Orange: It can be up to a maximum of 150 euros + VAT, which will be reduced depending on the time you have stayed.
  • vodafone: they put a single charge of 150 euros for the installation. However, it warns that a penalty will have to be paid that they do not specify, but that ‘its amount varies according to the time‘ that we have left to fulfill or the services that we have.

Permanence

fiber coverage

Finally, this detail is something of minor importance, but it may be interesting for you to know what is the fiber network you use these different operators. Therefore, we are going to know this precisely:

  • Digi: It has its own network or uses the Movistar fiber network.
  • Simyo: use the Orange one.
  • Adamo: offers its own fiber network.
  • jazztel: uses the Orange fiber network.
  • Yoigo: offers its own fiber network and has agreements with Movistar and Orange.
  • Movistar: uses its own fiber network and has an agreement with Adamo.
  • Orange: Provides fiber through its own network and also uses Movistar’s by having an agreement with the blue operator.
  • vodafone: It has its own network in use, and has agreements with Adamo and Movistar.
