This year’s best and most complete Android mid-range is now at a bargain price on Amazon for less than €280
Although the range of mid-range Android phones is very extensive, varied and with a multitude of offers that come and go, the truth is that finding a good phone with fluid performance, a good camera, all-day autonomy, 5G connection and a beautiful design is very complicated.
The candidate that best meets these requirements, without skyrocketing in price, is the Poco X5 Pro 5G, which in our analysis we rate as the best balanced mid-range of 2023. Some have the same processor and are cheaper, others take better photos on certain occasions… but as a whole, and at this price, the Poco X5 Pro seemed like the safe bet.
Now, on Amazon, it is reduced by 20%, and for 280 euros we can’t think of a better terminal in that price range.
Let’s break down all its features, to see that it has no major shortcomings.
On the screen we have a panel 6.67″ Full HD+ P-OLED at 120 Hz, with maximum brightness of 900 nits, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Little to object in this section, because although it does not reach the level of the screens of the new iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, this is one of great quality and one that can hardly be faulted.
The processor is a Snapdragon Snapdragon 778G which, although it is not the best from Qualcomm, it is still one of the best chips on the market. Together with its 5G modem and 6 GB of RAM, it assures us that the mobile will be able to handle years of updates and use without any problem.
The POCO X5 Pro has a main camera of 108 Mpx at f/1.89, 8 Mpx wide angle at f/2.2 and 120º viewing angle, and a 2 megapixel Macro with f/2.4 aperture. These are good numbers, but what matters is how this translates to the photos we take on a daily basis. And it is much better than the other 200 to 250 euro phones, so this jump is recommended although obviously, it is still far from the 1,000 euro phones in night photos or in the quality of its portraits.
The battery is 5,000 mAh, like almost all Androids, but the Poco X5 Pro’s fast charging gives it the advantage over other mid-range or entry-level phones. Finally, its design, although it is nothing special, is much more attractive than that of other Xiaomi phones, except for the highest-end ones.
In short, you will not find a better, more balanced mobile phone for less than 300 euros right now. You can buy the Poco X5 Pro for 280 euros on Amazon until the 20% discount offer lasts.
