While the new Google Pixel 8 range will be presented at the beginning of October, we can expect drastic price reductions on previous generations. This is currently the case for one of the most recent models, the Google Pixel 7 Pro, which is seeing its price plummet from 899 euros to 699 euros at Amazon during a limited-time offer.
Successor to the iconic Google Pixel 6 range, once holders of the title of best photophones, the Google Pixel 7 Pro continues this momentum. It is not the most efficient of high-end smartphones but the Google Pixel is generally expected on the camera, and we cannot be disappointed when it comes to that of the Pixel 7 Pro. To afford a high-end smartphone below market prices, it’s at Amazon that it’s happening since the Google Pixel 7 Pro loses 200 euros on its launch price.

Where to buy
Google Pixel 7 Pro at the best price?
One of the best photophones of 2023
The Google Pixel 7 Pro is first of all a smartphone with a refined design, generally using the same formula as the Pixel 6 Pro with the photo block which takes up the entire width of the back. No revolution in sight, but a little more refinement. As for the 6.7-inch screen, it is an AMOLED panel in QHD+ definition (3,120 x 1,440 pixels) with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 10 to 120 Hz. If the colorimetry of the screen does not keep the manufacturer’s promises, the brightness peaks at more than 1300 cd/m², which is excellent!
Let’s come to what arouses the most interest in this Google Pixel 7 Pro: its camera. This has the following configuration: a 50 Mpx main wide-angle sensor (f/1.85), a 12 Mpx ultra-wide-angle sensor (f/2.2) and a 48 Mpx x5 telephoto lens (f/1.85). 3.5). It doesn’t seem impressive at first glance, some competitors already equipped themselves with a 108 Mpx sensor for example, but the Google Pixel 7 Pro succeeds in all its shots thanks to the image processing which works wonders.
Halfway between high-end and ultra-high-end
The Google Pixels caused a sensation at the time of the Pixel 6, since it was the first generation to feature Google’s first in-house SoC, the Google Tensor (we would later discover that the SoC was the result of a collaboration with Samsung). The Pixel 7 Pro features the second generation of Tensor with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and in terms of performance, it is far from being able to match its ultra-high-end competitors since it struggles to run 3D games.
The Google Pixel 7 Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery capable of lasting more than 24 hours according to the Mountain View firm. We measured a day and a half during our test, reaching the end of the second day should be possible thanks to the ultra battery saver. On the other hand, the question of recharging is problematic, even annoying. Don’t be fooled by the manufacturer’s words announcing fast charging with the official 30 W charger, since the Pixel 7 Pro only goes up to 23 W. Even with the official charger, charging is rather slow, it It takes two hours to recover 100% of the battery.
