One of the largest hardware companies is always looking for ways to make its users have the greatest possible accessibility to its products, and as we well know, AMD is a brand known for offering solutions of all kinds, from an entry-level range for users without too much budget to components of the highest possible quality for a higher price. Now, AMD could be considering expanding its catalog of graphics cards to offer two graphics more of spectrum of entrance, the RX 7400 and the RX 7300.
It’s not unusual to see AMD looking for ways to reach the largest possible market, and it’s quite common for this company to launch all kinds of solutions that allow users to obtain a quality product at much lower prices. Although at the moment all the information we know comes from a rumor, it’s clear that this is a move that aligns perfectly with the company’s interests, and even more so taking into account the need that many users have for a range of graphics cards that are truly affordable.
AMD’s strategy: offering hardware for all possible budgets
Not long ago, Advanced Micro Devices announced that one of the biggest projects they had in mind was to offer various components so that anyone could have a PC for the lowest possible price. This has led the company, for example, to further extend the life of the AM4 socket, preparing new processor models that aim to become a short-term solution to cover as much of the market as possible, whether in extremely high-end CPUs for playing at 4K with more than 120 FPS, or cheaper solutions for more basic computers.
That is why it does not surprise us at all that the company itself could be looking for a way to do this but with its graphics cards, which have very high ratings among users. These two New GPUs that AMD could be launched would be two versions that could be placed below €200, and for this same reason they could be models cut down on some graphics that are more powerful, taking into account that they would use Navi 33 and that they would have a lower price, they could be placed between 8 GB and 6 GB of VRAM.
On the other hand, it is very likely that they will have a smaller number of Stream Processors, since in the end the “standard” for the 7000 series is set at 2048, which is what the RX 7600 (XT) incorporates. Compared to the previous low-end model that the 6000 series had, the RX 6400, it should incorporate at least 1024 Stream Processors, which would already be a substantial improvement compared to this version, since it would improve by 256 units taking into account that the 6400 only includes 768.
In general, the changes to launch these two lower-range models could involve changing the VRAM aspects as well as reducing the TDP they have, offering a solution that would be perfect for computers that do not require great graphical power, but that need at least one dedicated component to avoid depending on the iGPU.
