The Vivo X Fold offers a version with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and improved autonomy. Unfortunately, the Chinese manufacturer does not plan to release its folding smartphone in France.
The already long list of folding smartphones that only come out in China has just been added a new name. The Vivo X Fold, which we had already taken in hand, has just found a successor: the Vivo X Fold+.

Its main difference is its chip, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, much better on several levels than the original 8 Gen 1 it replaces. It also inherits the chip specializing in Vivo’s photo.
For the rest, everything is very close to the first model, even the style of the phone. It retains its 8-inch interior Oled screen in 2160 x 1916 pixels and 120 Hz, the 3D fingerprint sensor ultrasonic, its photo configuration helped by the partnership with Zeiss. It is thus based on a block of four modules, ranging from wide angle to optical X5, via X2 and ultra wide angle.
A much better autonomy on paper
On the new side, we can still mention the presence of a 2.8% larger battery. We thus go from 4600 mAh to 4730 mAh. But for Vivo, the gain in autonomy would be much greater. Aided by its new chip, the Vivo X Fold+ would provide 20% greater autonomy according to the manufacturer. On the charging side, the phone is, according to Vivo, able to go from 1 to 70% in 18 min or to fully charge in 35 min. It relies on the same 80W charging here as the Vivo X80 Pro. In wireless, it can go up to 50 W, which gives a full charge in 53 minutes.
We find of course the famous teardrop fold, allowing the phone to close completely when folded, leaving no day to pass. Unfortunately, the Vivo X Fold+ will once again reserve this feat for the Chinese market: the phone should not be released in our green regions.
