Man is concerned about the future, thanks to the deterioration of our planet, researchers are busy having options so that human beings can inhabit them and thus continue to exist for more years.
Recently a group of astronomers from the University of Montreal (Canada) discovered a new exoplanet that has the remarkable characteristic of being completely covered with water.
The exoplanet was named T02-1452b, which has a mass greater than that of planet Earth and is located around 10 million light years from the Earth’s mass, more specifically in the Draco constellation.

Regarding the density of TOI-1452b, Charles Cadieux, an astrophysics doctoral student at the Canadian University, mentioned that it is less than what would be expected for a planet that is made up of metal and rock.
TOI-1452b is one of the best ocean planet candidates we have discovered to date. Its radius and mass suggested a lower density than would be expected for a rich, metal-composed planet, as Earth is,” he detailed.
Meanwhile, CAdieux announced that the discovery of this new exoplanet was possible thanks to the TESS satellite (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), which studies distant stars and also searches for light falls.
For his part, he stressed that TOI-1452b has been described as an “aquatic world” because 30% of its mass comes from liquid, which makes it a kind of deep global ocean, it is expected that this novel pose will be studied with the James Webb telescope to be able, in this way, to bring more precision to the finding.
Little by little the advances have surpassed science fiction, the films that propose trips to other galaxies are getting closer to reality every day, soon we will be packing our bags or at least that is what I want to believe. And what do you think, will you be a galaxy traveler?
