Apple’s keynote has left the iPhone 15 family, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 as the main protagonists of the event. There is a secondary actor that has gone unnoticed, but that you can buy in the Apple Store: an adapter USB-C to Lightning that has been put on sale for 35 euros.
Apple’s Wonderlust event has given everything. The big star of the show has been, as expected, the iPhone 15 and the rest of the family. That is, the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max that can be reserved starting September 15 for a price starting at 959 euros.
There has also been room for another regular protagonist of the September keynotes: the apple watch. This has materialized as Apple Watch Series 9, which has gesture control as its differentiating point, as well as Apple Watch Ultra 2, which comes with more features and a lower price than the previous generation.
Now, there has been a secondary actor who has completely disappeared, but who has appeared like a ninja in the accessories section of the Apple Store: a USB-C to Lightning adapter that the Cupertino firm has put on sale for 35 euros.
As stated in the product description in the Apple store, this adapter will allow you to connect your Lightning accessories to an iPhone or iPad with USB-C to charge them, transfer data or listen to audio.
The Cupertino firm does not give a single stitch: one of the main features of the iPhone 15 family is that it will come with USB-C. Now, the rest of the models from previous years, as well as other devices from the company, have that Lightning port that has been in Apple for years.
During the conference, it was seen how the iPhone 15 served as a power source or even the transfer of information from one device to another, but of course, this can only be done if that device has USB-C to fit into the new Apple flagship.
This adapter, therefore, can be used to connect an old device with a Lightning connection to the iPhone 15 and, in a certain way, it circumvents the European regulations that require the inclusion of USB-C.
