Tech News Desk,American company Apple, which makes the popular iPhone across the world, said on Wednesday that its iPhone 12 has been certified by several international organizations for compliance with global radiation standards. France’s radiation regulator ANFR had said that the radiation level in the iPhone 12 exceeds the legal limit. Due to this, the company was ordered to stop the sale of this smartphone in France.
Testing conducted by ANFR found the specific absorption rate (SAR) of the iPhone 12 to be slightly higher than the legal limit. This information was given by Jean Noel Barrot, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy of France, in an interview given to the newspaper Le Parisien. He had told that to solve the problem of radiation, the software will have to be updated. Apple has been selling this smartphone for the last three years. He had said, “Apple is expected to respond within two weeks. If it fails to do so, I am prepared to order a recall of all iPhone 12. Rules for everyone, including big technology companies Are the same.”
Apple said it has provided ANFR with results from company and third-party laboratories that show the iPhone 12 meets all applicable SAR regulations. The company said it is filing a protest against the results of the ANFR review. ANFR had said that during testing, accredited laboratories have found that the absorption of electromagnetic energy by the body when the smartphone is held in the hand or kept in the trouser pocket is 5.74 watts per kilogram. The European standard for this is 4.0 watts per kilogram. Apple launched the iPhone 15 series on Tuesday. This includes iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The new A17 Bionic chipset has been used in the Pro model of iPhone 15. The company claims that this chipset has better efficiency and more power than A16. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max also have the same USB Type-C charging port as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
