Apple Intelligence has arrived with the first beta of iOS 18.1, although not in full as many features are not available

- Image Playground. With Image Playground you can create fun images in seconds in three styles: Animation, Illustration, or Sketch. Both the standalone app and the built-in functionality in apps like Notes and Messages are not available in iOS 18.1 beta 1.
- Genmoji. A feature that allows you to create your own emojis just by giving a description, but since Genmoji is based on Image Playground, it is not yet available.
- Image WandThis feature inserts images into your Notes based on context, and also relies on Image Playground, so it won’t be available until Image Playground is released.
- Priority Notifications. This feature highlights the most important notifications at the top of the notification stack, and also summarizes incoming notifications for faster reading.
- MailMail categories that classify your incoming emails are not yet available.
- PhotosThere are many Apple Intelligence features active in Photos, but the Clean Up tool, which removes unwanted objects from images with a tap, is not available in this iOS 18.1 beta.
- SiriWe have a new interface, but the functionality that can understand what is happening on the screen, personal context, and the ability to perform more actions within and between apps are not yet available. Some of these features may not arrive until 2025.
- ChatGPTChatGPT integration with Siri is not yet available in iOS 18.1 beta 1.
- Additional languagesApple Intelligence is only available in US English, but support for more languages will be coming in the future. However, its arrival in Europe seems unlikely at the moment.
In This beta of iOS 18.1 does have the Apple Intelligence features such as writing tools, a new Siri interface, as well as a better understanding of what we ask, being able to follow a conversation, summaries of articles, emails or transcripts, better search in Photos or the creation of memories.
