Mobile News Desk – Apple will launch the iPhone 15 series this year. But soon after that in early 2024 a new model of iPhone SE (iPhone SE 4) will be introduced. The company launches its low-cost iPhone every two years. Its price will be much less than the iPhone 15. The launch is still some time away, but leaks and rumors are already pouring in. Now a new thing has come to the fore. Apple will use OLED panels from Chinese display supplier BOE in its upcoming fourth-generation iPhone SE smartphone model.
This has been confirmed in media reports. According to a MacRumors report, due to production problems, BOE held back an initial number of OLED panels targeted for this year’s iPhone 15 series, with Samsung and LG claiming the majority of orders. Now it’s trying to compensate by focusing on making OLED panels for the budget-friendly iPhone SE 4. Next year’s iPhone SE 4 is expected to use around 20 million OLED screens.
Last month, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the tech giant has resumed development of the iPhone SE 4 smartphone, which will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display and an in-house 5G baseband chip. Kuo also mentioned that the mass production of the iPhone SE 4 will happen ‘smoothly’ in the first half of next year.
