A regulation from the United Kingdom has forced Apple to commit to at least 5 years of software updates regarding security for the iPhone. Starting in 2024, adjustments to the Telecommunications Infrastructure and Product Security lawof which the Companies that sell devices with an internet connection will be required to comply with security requirements.
