Since the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple has faced strong demand which unsurprisingly causes a gigantic wait in delivery times on the online Apple Store and at resellers. After the financial results for the third calendar quarter of 2022, the CEO of Apple spoke about it.
Apple does its best
This year, Apple has done everything to ensure that consumers favor procurement iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the majority of the new products in the range have been focused on these two models and the other two have been abandoned to look like “iPhone 13S”.
Apple expected a magnificent success for the iPhone 14 Pro, but not to such demand from customers!
We could see it on orders from suppliers where the iPhone 14 Pro was supposed to show 50% of the shipments of the range and which finally climbed up to 65%.
At the microphone of Steve Kovack of CNBC, Tim Cook assured that this somewhat unpredictable trend has been taken into account by Apple and that the partners are at the maximum to ship as many iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max as possible!
We’re limited right now on the 14 Pro and Pro Max and have been since our launch day…and so obviously we’re continuing the supply there and trying to get as much supply as we can. possible to resolve the request.
iPhone revenue was weaker than Apple predicted in the third calendar quarter. Let’s also not forget that the period in question only covers a little over a week of sales for the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro. iPhone sales increased by almost 10% year-over-year, while Apple’s total revenue for the quarter climbed by 8%.
Tim Cook concluded the interview with Steve Kovach by saying he was extremely satisfied exchange rates during the third calendar quarter:
Currency headwinds were over 600 basis points for the quarter. So it was important. We would have grown by double digits without the currency difficulties.
During the interview, we could see a Tim Cook relaxed and especially satisfied by the financial results of Apple. The company broke a new record with 90.15 billion dollars in revenue and 20.72 billion dollars in profits!
All segments show an increase in sales, except the category of iPads which experienced a drop of 13.06%.
