Apple has just released a firmware update for the Apple Pencil Pro, which was launched earlier this year alongside the latest M4 iPad Pro models. This update is numbered 0.1.40, up from 0.1.33.
What’s new in the update?
Apple has not yet shared any information about the features, fixes, or improvements included in this update, as the company does not typically publish release notes for new software versions of the Apple Pencil. To install the update, simply connect the Apple Pencil Pro to your iPad.
The Apple Pencil Pro, priced at €149, is the latest model in Apple’s stylus line and offers several new features, such as pressure gestures, double tap, tip rotation (“barrel roll”), haptic feedback and integration with “Find My”. It is compatible with the iPad Air M2 and iPad Pro M4 models.
There is no doubt that the new version improves stability and takes care of compatibility with iPadOS 18 coming Monday, September 16 for the general public.
