'The Buccaneers: Aristocrats for Love' has been renewed for a second season on Apple TV+.
'The Buccaneers' is an Apple TV+ series set in 1870s England which shares many similarities with the popular series 'The Bridgertons'. In it, a group of young aristocrats look for love on their trip to the United States. Now the series has been renewed for a second season.
'The Buccaneers: Aristocrats for Love' will have a second season on Apple TV+
The romantic series 'The Buccaneers' is inspired by the literary work of the same name published in the name of Edith Wharton in 1938. The writer unfortunately passed away before she could complete her novel, but she left a detailed script and Marion Mainwaring completed the original manuscript in 1993. As expected, the series includes large doses of love, disagreements and classy humor.
The Buccaneers are the beautiful and indomitable daughters of America's nouveau riche. Despite the efforts of the best governesses in England, they head to London to hunt down an aristocrat, of limited resources but great class, with whom they can form the perfect couple.
'The Buccaneers' was announced in 2022 for its premiere on Apple TV+ with a cast made up of actresses of the caliber of Alisha Boe, Kristine Froseth, Aubri Ibrag, Josie Totah, Mia Threapleton, and Imogen Waterhouse.
Katherine Jakeways, creator of the series, mentioned in a Apple press release that she was thrilled to “explore the next adventures of these clever, jubilant, clumsy sisters.”
From its premiere on November 8, 'The Buccaneers' has been a great success internationally. Criticism (76% in Rotten Tomatoes) describes the series as a period drama that feels fresh and modern, with a fast-paced narrative and a great injection of adrenaline that is very fun to watch.
