Have you stopped to think about the number of accounts you have in the different services? Twitter, Instagram, Google or even the credentials to access your bank account. Although it is very important to have different keys or passwords to access the different servicesthe majority of the population continues to have the same password everywhere.

It can be very comfortable, but also a significant risk, since in the event that the password and email fall into the wrong hands they will have access to all our accounts. In addition to having different passwords, it is essential that all of them are sufficiently secure.

Google has something to tell you

Google is everywhere, it includes a keychain in which we can store all our passwords and thus avoid having to remember each one, but also a tool that is responsible for knowing if a password has been compromised or not.

To make use of this tool you must be signed in to Gmail and perform the steps from the Chrome browser itself:

  • Click on the three dots at the top right.
  • Then choose “Setting“.
  • Later, in the menu “Autocomplete” you must click on “passwords“.
  • Finally, choose “check passwords“. Automatically, the tool will be in charge of identifying how secure the passwords you have saved in the browser are and in the event that any of these have been violated, you must change the passwords.

Password Managers: what they are, which are the most important and how to use them

Another essential tool is have i been pwned?a website that just by entering an email will tell you if you have been or not victim of a theft of information from other services that have had security breaches.
