Earbuds that are comfortable over time
For its Redmi Buds 3 Pro, Xiaomi does not choose an aesthetic close to AirPods with a stem and an open format, but rather an in-ear format. They are equipped with silicone tips that are inserted into the ear canal. If this design is not suitable for most people, it at least has the merit of offering better passive isolation and blocking some of the surrounding noise.
Overall, these Redmi Buds 3 Pro remain comfortable over time, and the support will be quite effective. During our test, we were able to wear these true-wireless for three to four consecutive hours without any discomfort. Moreover, to listen to your playlist, the headphones are durable enough to last 6 hours. To charge them to 100%, it will take just under 40 minutes. Wireless charging of the case by induction will also be available, which is a very good point given their price.
With interesting features
Xiaomi’s in-ear headphones are also complemented by active noise reduction. They are equipped with a three-level noise reduction system that will automatically adapt to ambient noise. However, during our test, we found that this automatic management, which cannot be configured manually, was not really developed. The noise reduction is still effective when pushed in “deep suppression” mode, that is to say with high and constant noise. A transparency mode will also be there.
On the audio side, the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Pro are equipped with a 9 mm diameter transducer and are only compatible with AAC and SBC codecs. If they do not particularly shine by their sound reproduction, with in particular messy low frequencies, the headphones of the Chinese brand at least have the advantage of managing the treble well. One of their strong points is the support for multipoint Bluetooth. Thanks to this mode, it will be possible to connect simultaneously to several devices without having to disconnect one of them to operate the device you want.
