For several weeks now, there has been an Apple series that has been generating a ton of new subscriptions to Apple TV+, that has been constantly talked about on social networks and that has broken all audience records in the United States and internationally, it is Presumed Innocent. This series, which follows an unusual trial in Awesome twists and turns ranks #1 ahead of big content on competing streaming services.
Presumed Innocent, the series to watch absolutely
According to a recent report from Reelgood, a service that tracks audiences in the streaming industry, the series Presumed Innocent, available as a worldwide exclusive on Apple TV+, is breaking all audience records. Apple has achieved something spectacular with its new series: surpassing the highly publicized season 2 of House of the Dragon available on Max (HBO).
In fact, over the past week, Presumed Innocent was the most-watched series in the United States. In addition to being ahead of the new program on Max (HBO), the series manages to attract more people than The Decameron on Netflix, The Bear on Disney+, The Boys on Prime Video or even Evil on Paramount+.
Since its release, Presumed Innocent has been on the same path as Apple original hits like Ted Lasso or Silothe audiences follow the same trend and we can see it in the ranking of the most watched series on Apple TV+, the series Presumed Innocent has not moved from first place since its release.
If you haven’t watched it yet, the series “Presumed Innocent” tells the story of Rusty Sabich, a respected assistant district attorney whose life is dramatically changed when he is accused of the brutal murder of his colleague and lover, Carolyn Polhemus. The series, based on the best-selling novel by Scott Turow, immerses viewers in an intense legal thriller where each episode unfolds new layers of mystery and suspense.
Given the hype surrounding the series, Apple has obviously renewed the show for a second season. According to the information we currently have, the second season will tackle a completely new case, apparently separate from the narrative of the first season. Executive producers David E. Kelley and JJ Abrams remain attached to the project. It is not yet confirmed whether Gyllenhaal will return. Otherwise, it would be more like a series like True Detective or Fargo, programs that offer stories and characters without correlation from one season to the next.
On the editorial side, we started Presumed Innocent last weekend and we can confirm that it is a little gem. We are on a very addictive series that clearly encourages you to watch the episodes one after the other. The success of Presumed Innocent is completely understandable and can be explained by the narrative side of the series, the casting and the quality of production and direction, which is, as always with Apple: exceptional.
