An SFR outage affected calls, SMS and the 4G network almost everywhere in mainland France. At the same time, difficulties were also reported by Bouygues Telecom customers.

Update : the situation returned to normal.


SFR’s mobile network is experiencing a national outage. Text messages, calls and 4G mobile Internet are experiencing operational problems across France. At the same time, similar difficulties have also arisen on the side of another mobile operator: Bouygues Telecom.

National outage at SFR

On DownDetector, the number of reports has skyrocketed, especially for SFR where more than 6,000 people have reported problems.

Similar trend at Bouygues Telecom

For Bouygues Telecom, the trend is similar, with slightly fewer reports at present, despite a significant increase in escalations. 955 reports are recorded at the time of writing these lines.

Several Internet users also complain on Twitter. Within the editorial staff Frandroidtwo SFR customers can no longer make calls or connect to the Internet without going through the Wi-Fi network.

Note that SFR confirms the failure on Twitter, explaining that its technicians are already on deck to resolve the incident as quickly as possible.
