The DGT will monitor how you carry out your Black Friday purchases
On November 25, Black Friday 2022 will be celebrated worldwide, the great shopping festival in which the main technology, fashion, accessories and cosmetics brands offer great discounts in a myriad of products. For this reason, at the time of their acquisition, the way in which we carry them is very important.
This is what the DGT, the General Directorate of Traffic, has taken into account, who has alerted the buyers and sellers to participate in Black Friday that may be penalized with fines if they do not comply with the law.
This is due to a new special campaign that coincides with the fact that this week is the week of these great offers, which will increase the already high circulation of what may be merchandise delivery vehicles, but also the of the cars themselves.
What do we haveWe are talking about what is an infraction that is reflected in Article 14 of the General Circulation Regulations, which is entitled ‘Load disposal’, and specifies that the load transported in a car must not ‘drag, fall totally or partially or move in a dangerous way’, as well as ‘compromising the stability of the vehicle’.
Or what is the same; we cannot carry our purchases (regardless of whether it is Black Friday or not) in any way and manner. The most common example is leaving the supermarket purchase at the back seat of the car, something that until now you did not know was so important.
Because, although many are unaware of it, the DGT imposes strong sanctions on those who drive and load objects incorrectly in their cars, since these could have risks and thus cause fatal consequences. All in all, this is a problem that also makes for hinder visibilitywhich could incur other types of accidents.
The fine rises to 200 euros.
As we see, this is a very common gesture among the majority of drivers, who when leaving a store or supermarket choose to leave the purchase in the back seat for comfort. However; The fact that it is habitual does not mean that it is the right thing to do, and in this the General Directorate of Traffic has put it very crudely.
Thus, if we meet an agent of the authority, either on the highway or in the city, they can impose a sanction and fine of 200 euros for infringing the Regulations and breaching the Law on Traffic, Circulation and Road Safety.
This also has a lot to do with delivery and transport vehicles, in which the controls will check the speed at which they were traveling, the documentation of both the vehicle and the driver, the correct placement and weight of the load transported, the presence of alcohol and/or drugs in the drivers body or if the corresponding Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) has been passed, among other aspects related to road safety.
“For these purposes, you must take special care to maintain the proper position and that the rest of the passengers maintain it, and the proper placement of the objects or animals transported so that there is no interference between the driver and any of them,” the article continues. of the DGT.
