Daredevil: Born Again still in development. Within the panorama of upcoming premieres in television format of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is no more anticipated premiere than this. This is the production dedicated exclusively to Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who has already appeared in two previous productions. One of the rumors in relation to this story is that the Netflix adaptation could become considered canon within the franchise.
On April 10, 2015, Netflix introduced Daredevil, a series dedicated to the character. Although the scope of the production was not clear at first, it ended up being the cornerstone of the superhero universe that the company composed for a few years, with figures such as Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and luke cage. Among these proposals, the most prominent was the one starring Charlie Cox. All of them became part of the Disney+ platform during 2022.
The first season of Daredevil, almost ten years after its release, continues to be seen as one of the best adaptations inspired by comics. The second installment was disappointing, but the third returned to a tone very close to that of the debut. According to a new rumor within the entertainment industry, at least a part of this project would become part of the canon of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Daredevil and his influence
in Daredevil: Born Again and Threw out
The rumor was spread through the profile CanWeGetSomeToast, specialized in information about film and television. Originally, this user explained the following regarding Threw outanother of the series that Disney is developing: “Threw out has something that will indicate that Daredevil (at least Season 1) is canon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe”.
After this comment, published in a tweet, the user retweeted his text with the following update: “I actually have some clarification on this. Aim for EVERYTHING Daredevil It is canon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nice.”. In this way, the three seasons on the character that were made by Netflix would be integrated into the franchise.
This rumor is similar to another heard by Jack McBryan, who is a co-founder of The Direct. In a tweet, McBryan explained the next:
“I heard about a plot element in born again which directly refers to something that happened in season 1 of Daredevil. Not as a superficial thing, but as a very specific event that happened in Season 1. Things are looking good for canon fans.”
Jack McBryan, on Twitter.
That way, if the rumor is confirmed, both Daredevil: Born Again as Threw out would have some relationship with Daredevil. It must be considered that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has already been nourished with the most representative faces of the Netflix adaptation (in addition to taking all the chapters). To Charlie Cox, who debuted in Spider-Man: No Way Homewas joined by Vincent D’Onofrio, in the role of Wilson Fisk, better known as king pin. This last character was introduced in the series Hawk Eye.
The premiere of Daredevil: Born Again does not have a specific date yet. But it was announced for 2024.
