The return of the mode Zombies in the new Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has caused great expectation among users, and after several years without having seen a mode similar to that offered by previous installments, Activision has wanted to try to incorporate one of the most important game modes of this saga again. This new mode will arrive on the launch day itself with two new original maps that will allow us to have a great number of hours of fun, Liberty Falls and Terminus Island.
Over the past few years, we’ve seen Activision focus the development of its latest titles around a game-as-a-service model with Warzone, combined with a new annual game that allows access to both a campaign and the saga’s legendary multiplayer. In their most recent game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, they tried to bring back a mode that incorporated zombies, but after seeing user criticism for not being what they were really looking for, they announced that there would be changes, and this time, it seems that the real Zombies mode is back.
Two maps with a lot of content, this is what the new Black Ops 6 Zombies will be like
Cooperative game modes often offer users the ability to play with their friends without having to worry about a competitive system (unless there is a rivalry over who scores the most points), and zombie games are one of those that have managed to become a benchmark for these titles. With the arrival of World at War, the first mode with this type of enemy was introduced in Call of Duty, which quickly became one of the most famous in the series, which is why practically many of its later games would include it.
Now, after years of drought, the Zombies mode will return in the most emblematic way possible, and although the trailers have already generated divided opinions among users, Activision assures that it really is what everyone has been asking for for a long time. One of the maps that we can find in this game mode will be Liberty Falls, of which we were able to see the trailer yesterday and which is set in North America in the 90s, in which players can explore a comic book store, a video store and a bowling alley, among other options.
The overall theme of this map is more cheerful and vibrant than what we’re used to seeing in this game mode, mainly because it seeks to allow users to explore the history of this area, both of the characters and of the map itself.
On the other hand, we have what many people know as the original Zombies, a dark and gloomy map, Terminus Island, of which we were able to see the presentation a few weeks ago in which some of the new mechanics that the game would include were shown, such as movement and the new special weapons that we can find in this mode.
