The famous soft drink Coca-Cola launches Y3000, a beverage created in part with artificial intelligence. The idea is to allow consumers to “taste the future”.

The drink was created using artificial intelligence to deliver “the taste of the future”.
“Coca‑Cola® Y3000 Zero Sugar was co-created with human and artificial intelligence by understanding how fans envision the future through emotions, aspirations, colors, flavors and more. The perspectives of fans around the world, combined with insights gleaned from artificial intelligence, inspired Coca‑Cola to create the unique taste of Y3000,” the statement read.

The design of the drink, too, was conceived in part with the help of AI, to evoke a “liquid in a state of transformation and evolution, communicated through changes in shape and color that emphasize a positive future”. On the bottle or can, a QR Code gives access to the Coca‑Cola Creations Hub and a photo filter using AI. It allows “to imagine what might look like [la] current reality in the future”.

This is not the first time that artificial intelligence has been used in the food or beverage world. For example, in France, a company uses it to making plant-based cheeses. Coca-Cola® Zero Sugar Y3000 will be available in several regions around the world, including Europe. Its price has not yet been announced.
