But during this time, the developer of the app, Certo Software, said that due to the new phone link update, cybercriminals or hackers can gain access to iPhone data and misuse people’s data.

Last month, Microsoft released the iPhone Phone Link feature for all Windows 11 users. Under this, window users can see iMessages, calls etc. on desktop or laptop. The feature was launched in 39 languages ​​and 85 different markets. According to a report, cybercriminals can connect the Phone Link app to any iPhone without the iPhone user even knowing it. In this way, they can see all the data of iPhone users on their desktop or laptop and can access the incoming messages, OTPs and contacts on iMessage.

The report advises iPhone users to regularly check their phone connection to make sure it is connected and that there are no unknown Bluetooth pairings. If an unknown device appears, remove it. The report has also given an advice to Apple, which states that the company should bring such a feature that when the iPhone is connected to Bluetooth and the file is being shared with it, it should indicate it in green color.
