Netflix’s new account sharing policy goes into effect today.
Netflix has recently announced its new account sharing policy through the payment of an additional amount. Following his statement, many users of the streaming platform have criticized the company’s decision. A decision that could prove counterproductive for the service, which in the first quarter of 2022 reported that it had lost 200,000 subscribers.
Many subscribers think that Netflix should improve the contents of its catalog instead of establishing this type of prohibition. But, according to Netflix, 40% of its users are not subscribed to the service and share accounts to enjoy their content. Now, a large number of subscribers have criticized the company for its latest decision.
Flurry of criticism of Netflix
From Netflix they have assured that they will take into account the comments of subscribers who use the new functionality to add extra subscribers in each subscription plan to refine and improve its services. Please note that this functionality is not available worldwide and has been released in very few regions on a trial basis.
Here are some of the most raving critics on Twitter about Netflix’s new policy.
I have defended Netflix’s way of working since I have been a subscriber, but the change in strategy regarding shared accounts has no possible defense. It is a scam and a lack of respect for clients, that we see that their productions are increasingly mediocre???? pic.twitter.com/JGvSmgr4mO

A premium account already had the concept of being able to share it with up to 4 users regardless of residence. I understand that, when the accounts do not balance, it is difficult to find a way to alleviate the losses, but bleeding users is not the solution and you will soon back down.

For all those who did not experience the Blockbuster host, now you can enjoy a similar host with something contemporary.

What if I have 2 houses in 2 different locations?
No, look, I better unsubscribe and you stay there with your move and I watch TV wherever I want or with other platforms.

If I pay for two screens, I have the right to see two screens. Where I see them is neither your business nor are you anyone to decide where I have to see them. No problem, I’m unsubscribing right now

“We know there is a lot of confusion about how to share Netflix”

You have to have very big balls to justify it with a “we want you to have more control over your account”. Above taking us for fools.

Netflix decides to spend our money on a video game division that matters to 2 units of people, instead of renewing our series and offering quality content. But those who do not understand the service are us. Go and fuck you, handsome.

The truth is that some of the criticisms are absolutely devastating. Social networks are burning in Spain, but they are not the only place where people are starting a small revolution against Netflix, the cessation of shared accounts is on everyone’s lips and is the talk of the day in bars, bakeries and other workplaces. What do you think about this ban?
