Nothing is preparing to unveil a new generation of transparent wireless headphones in just a few days, but just before their release, we finally already know everything about the company’s Ear (2).
We have known for several months now what the next Ear (2) from Nothing, its new transparent wireless headphones, will look like. This minor device update should make some welcome changes, without revolutionizing the offer of the company.
The leaker OnLeaks then fully revealed the design of the headphones at the start of the year, and has now confirmed their technical data sheet. As we expected, we should not expect many novelties with this new generation.
What technical data sheet for Ear headphones (2) from Nothing?
According to information from OnLeaks, the Nothing Ear (2) will always be equipped with 11.6mm speakers. Wireless headphones will still hold up 6 hours on a single chargeand the case will offer up to 36 hours of battery life in total. If you run out, you can always recharge the case with a USB-C cable or by wireless with a Qi base.
The main changes of this generation are software, since the Ear (2) will offer hybrid and personalized noise cancellation (adjustable according to user preferences). The new generation will also bring Bluetooth Multipoint, which will allow it to connect to two different sources simultaneously. Finally, the headphones will finally benefit an equalizer to manually adjust their sound signature.
Appearance-wise, a microphone for active noise cancellation that was previously placed on the back now sits at the top of the stem, and other components also appear to have moved to the rear. inside the headphones. They are always IP54 certified for water and dust resistance.
Nothing will officially present its Ear (2) headphones on March 22. It will be the opportunity for the company to reveal the missing element: its price. As a reminder, the Ear (1) had been launched at 99 euros, but their price had risen to 149 euros after a year. It is therefore expected that the Ear (2) will not be launched at a more affordable price, since they would interfere with the Ear (Stick), positioned at 119 euros.
