Just after revealing its first augmented reality headset, Apple offers to see the size of the new device at home, using an iPhone or iPad.
Were you impressed by the presentation of the Apple Vision Pro at WWDC 2023? You don’t have 3500 dollars? You can at least drool over the new augmented reality headset from the comfort of your iPhone or iPad screen.
By going to the official product presentation page (https://www.apple.com/apple-vision-pro/), an option allows you to display it in augmented reality directly at home. Only obligation: go through the Safari browser. The famous link is at the bottom of the page with the following words “Use AR to view Apple Vision Pro”.
A very simple interface for a little delirium
After clicking, the interface offers you two entries. One lets you see your surroundings through your iPhone or iPad’s camera, and the other lets you manipulate the famous headset in a completely empty environment.

The magic happens once you move from one window to another. There, the helmet can be placed at will on a table or near a relative to take a rather impressive photo (even if the realism of the object is not at its peak).

By pinching the screen, it is also possible to vary the size of the helmet to examine a specific detail if desired. On the other hand, it is impossible to turn any slider or activate any button. That’s not bad.
