If a customer books a cab in the middle of the road and the cab driver cancels his ride, then it causes a lot of trouble to the customers. This is the most common problem faced by the people who use Ola and Uber. People often complain that drivers of ride-hailing companies often cancel rides by asking about the drop location. Despite repeated cancellations, the customers are unable to do anything in return for it.
Now you will not have to face such problems while taking Ola ride. Ola has rolled out an update that will solve this most common and biggest problem of users. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has announced on Twitter that he finally has the answer to a common question asked by users- “Why does my Ola driver cancel my ride?”. Bhavish Aggarwal wrote in his tweet that Ola drivers will now be able to see the drop location and payment method of the customers before accepting the ride. Bhavish Aggarwal expects the new update to result in fewer cancellations and faster ride access.
Drivers will now cancel less rides
Ola, Uber users are often asked about the payment method. If the mode of payment is cash, the drivers accept it or else they cancel it. But now, the new update will show the payment mode details that Ola drivers want to know, they can check the drop location and payment method before accepting the ride. In this way, the user will not face any problem as the driver will accept the ride only after knowing all the details.
Drivers will be able to see riding details
Ola drivers will now be able to see the distance between their current location and drop location on their device. The partner app will also show the payment method chosen by the user. If it is digital payment or cash payment, then the driver will be informed about it. This is a great move that will save a lot of time for the users as well as the drivers.
It will be interesting to see if Uber introduces such a function as the issue of ride cancellation is not limited to Ola alone. Uber drivers also cancel rides. Uber had earlier copied the “code” feature of Ola. Both Uber and Ola users have been asked to submit a code to verify their ride. Ola first introduced this feature.
