Beware of the background

The reality is that this question has a very easy answer. Yes, your smartphone uses mobile data even when it is not being used. This is completely logical considering that if you do not have an Internet connection you can’t receive notifications of messaging applications, social networks… In short, all the apps that work in the background through network connectivity.

So, when a user is asleep, the mobile continues to consume data at all times. However, it is necessary to point out that the expense is hardly significant and that absolutely nothing happens to leave this feature enabled, although if you are overwhelmed by the possibility of running out of them, the fastest solution is to activate the Wi-Fi connection, disconnect mobile data or directly activate the Airplane Mode of your device. Some measures that, in addition, will help you save battery in cases of extreme need.

Limit mobile data usage

Surely more than one will throw their hands in the head for this situation, but we repeat again that there is nothing to worry about, since the expense is not pronounced and it will not end up consuming the rate completely. Anyway, for those who are afraid of this possible scenario, there is a tool in the configuration of your phone that will allow you keep safe your data.

Limit data usage

We are talking about an option used to limit its use up to a figure that we ourselves indicate. A simple option to be relieved and that can be easily activated through the following steps:

  1. Access the settings of your terminal through the gear-shaped icon.
  2. Locate the Mobile Network section, which should be right at the beginning.
  3. Open the Data Usage section to witness the consumption by system apps.
  4. Here you have several options: select each of them and enable the option Disable mobile data or set a limit both daily and monthly. Choose a low number before bed so that it stops consuming data instantly.
