Elon Musk has been in a whirlwind of controversy since he has absolute control of Twitter, and it doesn’t seem like the executive is going to stop anytime soon. This makes Twitter slowly and inexorably decline towards very unfortunate levels, both in quality and reliability. And that has meant that most of those who advertised on the social network have fled in disarray.
However, there are a few large companies that continue to pay to advertise on Twitter, and Musk has recently revealed that Apple is one of those companies.. He has done it at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference; held yesterday in San Francisco.
Apple (or rather its campaigns), an essential pillar for Twitter
Variety is the one who picks up the fact. Musk has explicitly thanked Apple (in addition to Disney) for continue to be one of the top advertisers on Twitter. The CEO of the service has commented that he wants to simplify the way to offer these ads, something that other companies like HBO have brought to the fore, claiming that they would like to see ads for ‘The White Lotus’ along with tweets that talk about the series.
These revenues coming from Apple were in jeopardy: not too long ago we saw Musk start to come down hard on Apple to the point where he had to meet with Tim Cook to restore relations. He would pay to know the argument they must have had.
Musk continues his business, and it gets worse
Hi again @elonmusk 👋
I hope you are well.
I’m fine too. I’m thankful for your interest in my health.
But since you mentioned it, I wanted to give you more info.
I have muscular dystrophy. It has many effects on my body.
Let me tell you what they are: https://t.co/2vb16kP6Yv

Musk remains completely focused on cleaning up Twitter’s finances so that the company is profitable again (he says it can become profitable this second quarter of 2023), but he is doing it at the cost of sacrificing all kinds of ethics. Not only for having reduced online traffic costs by being left with only two data centers: also by laying off more than 70% of the staff in the worst way.
I am not exaggerating: what recently happened with a disabled ex-employee or with the employee who came to sleep in the office itself to meet her demands is good proof of this. He not only dismisses professionals as if they were not people: he publicly displays it by despising them.
Nobody dares to predict what will become of Twitter, and I am not going to be the exception. The environment on the social network is getting worse, but at the same time no one would know how to understand a world in which Twitter simply ceases to exist. The path will be revealed as time passes and Musk continues to try to rescue (in his own way) this social network. But with everything that is happening, a server it’s not optimistic.
